This Hurricane belonged to The Fighter Collection and is not a BBMF machine. The BBMF did once have one of their Hurricanes in a desert scheme with just a single "J" written on it so I guess that is where your mistake comes from. Great shot never the less and a beautiful machine. I have always liked desert Hurricanes.

Not only did PZ865 (The BBMF Mk IIc (well the one with cannons anyway) sport a desert scheme but it had a half black/half white underside

Also the BBMF machines have the six stack exhausts rather than the correct three stack. Anyway nice to see the desert sceme again. I don't particularly like the current Night Reaper sceme. I certainly isn't particularly photogenic. Especially with black undersides concidering that is pretty much the view you get of BBMF aircraft :D

It was aquired by The Fighter Collection in 1991. Restoration started in 2001 and was carried out by Hawker Restorations who got it flying in 2003. It stayed with The Fighter Collection until May 2006 when it was sold to Vintage Wings of Canad who I believe still own it. And yes it is a Mk.IV.
